Or Salvation Army if you wanna get technical... but either way, you can find yarn for practically NOTHING at a thrift store and at garage sales. I bought this giant afghan at Salvation Army, the tag said $1.99 and apparently there was a sale on the "home items" section of the store, so I only paid $1.10 for the afghan. While I was visiting with my aunt and uncle, north of Abilene, we went to a few garage sales and there were some doilies for sale, made of lots of colorful acrylic yarn! I saw them priced at $0.10 each and couldn't help myself, I had to buy them! I just saw all these different things I could do with the colors.
It was about 2 months ago when I bought the afghan, but I finally got around to unraveling it the other day, and took some pictures to show you the result! (I didn't think to take a "before" picture until I was partially finished lol)

magically turned into.........................................

A little amigurumi alligator I whipped together for my dad for Father's Day. I'm also crocheting him a payara fish, which ought to turn out rather.. erm... interesting... but once I finish the payara, I'll post up the pattern for ya'll to make your own little vampire fish!
