What size crochet hook do you use for Spongebob?
I can't believe I forgot to post that information when I posted the pattern... It's been so long since I made Spongebob, I don't know for sure what I used... My best guess would be a G-hook or an H-hook. The only thing that really matters on it is that the stuffing doesn't show thru, so depending on how tightly/loosely you crochet, adjust hook size.
How big is the finished pillow/toy?
Again, it's been quite a while, so this is just an estimate, but just the body (not including legs & arms) is approximately 18in x 12in, I think...
Can you send me the pattern?
The pattern can be found here: http://www.latenighthooker.com/2009/06/he-lives-in-pineapple-under-sea.html
At this time, I don't have any other copy or file format of this pattern, but I might consider that in the future.
What does "FO" mean?
When I learned to crochet, FO means "finish-off" and that's how I've always understood it in patterns I've purchased. If I'm wrong and someone knows the real meaning of FO, please let me know.
What stitches did you use for the eyes, tie, teeth?
I definitely can't remember what I did to make those parts. I do remember just randomly trying stitches until the parts looked right. The eyes I believe are just circles stitched on top of each other. A black circle sewn on a blue circle sewn on a white circle. The teeth are just DC rectangles I think. And for the tie, I haven't the slightest idea....
Can you make [another character]?
I haven't crocheted in quite a while, but I do still have a closet full of yarn! Email me with suggestions, who knows, I might grab a hook and get started!
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to email me. I'm going to try and get back in the habit of checking in here and checking that email account, so please bear with me if I don't get back to you right away. Thanks!
